Hypnosis

Poster Set, printed on silver adhesive foil, mounted onto 5mm foamcore. The set is designed represent the three main types of hypnotism: Esdailes method- Esdailes took a bright shiny object, and showcased it infront of the patients eyes. The patient was told to look steadily at the object and nothing else. The operator then carried the object towards the patients eyes, whose eyelids would generally close involuntary and hypnosis began. For this poster the necklace is a symbol of the shiny object used for this method of hypnosis. Braids method-The hypnotists uses their eyes to engage the patient, inducing sleep, leading to easy hypnosis. Mesmers Method- Hypnosis is induced through the patients mind and not through the optic nerves.
